A noir starring a musician and his impossible dream of starting a career in jazz. Music and the nuances of the human psyche are at the heart of Lamberto Sanfelice's second feature film.
Louis is a talented jazz musician who gave up music after encountering the first difficulties of life as a trumpet player. He makes ends meet by working as a night taxi driver and dealing cocaine with Lucya, a Chilean transsexual, who seems to be his only friend. Frustration at a life he feels doesn't belong to him and an unresolved relationship with his father figure, legendary saxophonist Max Perry (inspired by Massimo Urbani), further alienate Louis from his wife and daughter. Louis' chance for redemption comes when Niko, an old friend of his father's, offers to join his band for an important concert that could mark a turning point in his career. Louis is determined not to miss the chance to get his life back, but getting out of the crime and drug business is not easy and he falls into a spiral that leads him to put his daughter in danger.
