Estômago is an adult fable on power, sex, and cooking In the great restaurant of life, there are those who eat and those who get eaten. Raimundo Nonato, finds an alternative way, a life of his own: he cooks.
Estômago is Raimundo Nonato’s story. He’s a poor guy from the North-West of Brazil living in a rich city in the South: Curitiba. There he learns how to cook and to get in connection with other people while discovering his real self. Nonato’s faith is written in his cooking, no matter if he’s doing it in a dirty pub or a small restaurant, or even in a prison cell.
Presented at International Film Festival of Rio de Janeiro del 2007 and winner of the Public Award, Best Director to Marcos Jorge, Best Actor to Joao Miguel, Special Prize of the Jury to Babu Santana
