"Believing in something means trying to stay, remain, and persevere even when everything seems to be telling you to give up. But why do we believe... in a choice, in a political faith, in our work, in God? It is a mystery. And the mystery takes the shape of things that can speak to us, even if they don't always say what we want to hear. For years, I tried to tell the story of how one becomes a Christian, then how one remains a Christian. I wanted it to be a comedy, a drama, a tragicomedy. I wanted to make a film about faith, about my faith."
